These hats are made from Nutria (Coypu). These animals are destructive and very harmful to the ecosystem on America's southeastern coastlines. Their fur is very similar to beaver, being an aquatic rodent. So not only are these furs sustainable, but they are also considered a great inexpensive alternative to the popular beaver hats. They come with a lambskin sweatband, satin hat liner and a ribbon hat band. They come in a lighter, narrow-brim style ($400) or a heavier, wide-brim style ($450).
Note: 4-1/2" is the largest brim this can currently be made with.
